a Memory of Your Own
I
just viewed the pics on Mada-Visions and feel as if I were a part
of your wedding festivities! Loved them! My best wishes to you
for a wonderful life together.
Sincerely,
Mona Pearlman (a friend of your mom, Nicole!)
"At
the end of the day I will still be Mrs. CJ Correnti" I
am still amazed at how strong my sister Nicole was the morning
of her wedding. She had no photographer, no DJ, no videographer.
She would never have the "cocktails on the deck at the Spring
House", something she had been dreaming of since CJ asked
her to marry him. Many of her closest family and friends were
stranded on the main land. She couldn't even get in touch with
CJ to discuss other options and all I remember her saying was
"at the end of the day I will still be Mrs. CJ Correnti"
She
never shed a tear, not that I can say the same for myself. I had
to hide in the bathroom because if Nikki could be this strong
then I needed to be as well.
The Noreaster
that came on October 12th could have brought the spirits down
of all that attended but instead it inspired everyone to live
it up. We had all been through so much to get to this point. It
was an amazing day. One, for everone that attended, would NEVER
forget. Due to the strength in your love, it was evident that
NOTHING was going to spoil your special day together.
I love you
~Renee
"Well
Diana has a camera" -- that is all I remember when they
told me that the photographer wasn't going to make it for the
morning picture taking at the bride-to-be's house. Luckily I stocked
up on some extra film for this day. When they told me that the
photographer was stuck on the mainland, I was nervous but glad
to have stepped in. I rose to the occasion and was able to put
my self to use. I was able to take pictures of the bridesmaids
and Nicole getting ready in the morning. On the way out the door
to the church, Nicole handed me the phone, She said "It's
for you, it's my photographer. He has some things he wants to
go over with you." -- Oh boy, I started to sweat. He said,
"Now, do you have a pen, I need you to write this all down".
-- "Make sure you take one of Nicole and her Dad walking
down the aisle. Make sure you get the bridal party walking down
the aisle. "Are you writing this all down", he said,
"Make sure you take a shot of Nicole and CJ lighting the
candle, and whatever you do, DON'T STEP FOOT ON THE ALTER. The
priest won't be too happy about that". --- Then I lost signal
on the cell. At that moment, I was on my own.
About to take
over for a professional photographer on the most important day
of Nikki and CJ's life. I made it through most of the ceremony,
and was relieved when I heard the click of someone else's camera
-- I turned to my right, and it was the professional photographer,
snapping photos drenched from the pouring rain outside. He finally
made it over on a plane from Westerly. My 15 minutes of fame were
up!
I had a great time the whole weekend. I still talk about their
wedding to this day. You can't say that about all weddings. It
was definitely the most memorable to date. I had a great time
and wish you both the best of luck. If you endured that weather,
their is nothing you can't get through in life.
-- Love,
Diana
